A Cool, Green Idea

Posted by robert.w.burke on 11 Nov 2006 | Tagged as: General, The Environment

A customer of mine shared a really interesting idea with me recently.  The concept is to use geothermal energy to provide air conditioning for our facility and also to heat the water we use in the car wash.  We’re in the planning stage right now, and expect that we will be able to implement this idea very quickly and for a very small investment.

This next layer of environmental friendliness is particularly exciting to me for several reasons.  Chief among them is that our ‘green is good for small business’ approach has inspired someone in the community to offer another great idea to reduce our carbon footprint.

Raising awareness has been a key goal of ours, and this sort of community interaction suggests to us that we are starting to achieve that goal.
