It’s been a while since my last post — sorry.  We’ve been busy getting ready for the Fall/Winter season.

Anyway, just thought I’d let everyone know that we were invited to apply for the Governor’s Environmental Excellence Award.  The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection saw some of the articles on us and sent us an application.  Pretty cool.

Well, we finally finished the application last week and sent it in.  No clue whether we have a realistic shot at winning the award but if we don’t try, we definitely won’t win.

It would be nice for owners of a small business to be recognized by the State for a clean & green approach to business.  I’ll post here when I find out the news, either way.

In the meantime, we seem to be meeting with a bit of resistance from the Mayor on our desire for a wind turbine.  I will have an idea as to our strategy for a variance from  Wayne Township in the next few weeks.

Check back for the update on that front — I may need to muster public support to get this done.  You all have been very positive about our environmental efforts and we do appreciate that, as well as your continued patronage.

That’s it for now.

And remember, Green is Good.
